Do I need a degree to participate in Lean training and certification?

No, you do not need to have a degree to participate in our lean training courses. However, the increased knowledge gained from our lean training is an impressive addition for those who hold a degree. It is more important for you to have worked in a manufacturing environment, and acquired some experience in production processes. It will be an advantage if you have three to five years of working knowledge in a manufacturing environment. The only educational requirements to participate in our online lean training is that you are able to read, write and understand basic math. Anyone from a shop floor associate, up to the executive management level can participate and learn from our lean training courses.

What is a Level 1 – Lean Awareness?

Level 1 – Lean Awareness course is based on an original on-site executive overview that was delivered in one business day (or eight hours). It covers the basic concepts and terminology of lean principles. It is our foundational course. Our Level 1 – Lean Awareness training is ideal for anyone that has no prior lean manufacturing experience. What is a Level 2 – Lean Practitioner?

Level 2 – Lean Practitioner training covers the methodologies and application of lean principles into the workplace. It is our second training level that sits on top of our foundational Level 1 – Lean Awareness course. Our Level 2 – Lean Practitioner training is ideal for anyone that has some prior experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles. What is a Level 3 – Lean Facilitator?

Level 3 – Lean Facilitator training covers the advanced application and integration of lean principles into the workplace. It is designed for those that wish to teach others and/or facilitate improvement teams. Level 3 – Lean Facilitator is our third level training that sits on top of our Level 1 – Lean Awareness and Level 2 – Lean Practitioner courses.
